The RTC Conference and Expo at IllinoisTech – October 10 –13, is a venue for connecting the future to today in real-time where thought leaders from industry and academia gather to discuss, debate and shape the future of the rapidly changing real-time communications field. We are planning a hybrid event, in-person on IIT’s Mies Campus and online. Everyone living at the intersection of voice, video, messaging, mobility, the cloud, and the Web – technical developers, innovators, engineers, academic researchers, product managers, marketers, entrepreneurs – has things to learn, things to teach and people to meet at this conference.
We’re excited this year’s conference is once again sponsored by IEEE, the world’s largest technical professional organization for the advancement of technology. IEEE and its members inspire a global community to innovate for a better tomorrow through its more than 419,000 members in over 160 countries, and its highly cited publications, conferences, technology standards, and professional and educational activities. By partnering with IEEE, the RTC Conference and Expo at IllinoisTech broadens its exposure to a wider audience, while expanding on its reputation for delivering the broadest range of unbiased real-time communications content in one amazing event. Take advantage of this opportunity to share your expertise with, and learn from, 300+ fellow real-time communications leaders from across the globe by proposing a presentation at this Fall’s conference!
We’re soliciting presentation proposals at the leading technical and business edge of how we think about, create, and implement real-time communications networks, services and applications. Presentations will be placed into the following conference tracks:
- WebRTC & Real-Time Applications
- Internet of Things
- Programmable Real-Time Networks
- Next Generation Emergency Communications
- VoiceTech
- Research Track (Juried Papers)
The Research Track is the RTC Conference’s academic track in which juried papers will be presented, and is not part of this Call for Speakers, which covers all remaining conference tracks. A separate Call for Papers for the Research Track was issued last week and is posted to the News tab of the conference website. Papers accepted in the Research Track and presented at the conference will be submitted for publication in IEEE Xplore. For more information on submitting a paper for the Research Track please visit Research Track CFP.
Track abstracts and other related information can be found under the Program link on the conference website. To propose a presentation for this year’s conference, please provide a title, abstract, and brief presenter bio via the Propose a Talk link on our website.
The proposal deadline is July 25, 2022, but please make your proposals as early as possible to ensure a place on this year’s agenda! Since we intend to host a hybrid event, we are accepting proposals from speakers who are willing to come to Chicago as well as speakers to join us online from around the world. Please note preference will be given to those who are able to join us in person in Chicago. On the Propose a Talk form, please indicate which you prefer. Presentation proposals will be reviewed by the Program Committee as they are received. Ongoing notifications of acceptance will be made based on content, relevance, and speaker qualifications. Please note, our audience has high expectations! They expect our speakers will present meaningful, thought-leading content. Overt marketing pitches will not be accepted.
The RTC Conference at IIT is a globally recognized collaborative event, where industry and academia connect. Leveraging its unique academic setting, this annual conference brings together technical professionals and business executives from the data and telecommunications industry, standards bodies, policy and regulatory institutions, and academic educators and researchers to promote an open exchange of ideas to lead future development in the rapidly changing field of real-time communications.
