The IIT RTC Conference and Expo offers you the opportunity to take one or both of these two Tutorials on Monday, October 14, one day before the conference begins. We offer a morning Tutorial, “Enable an App with Voice and SMS“, and an afternoon Tutorial, “WebRTC/ORTC“, enabling you to attend both if you choose. These tutorials cover two of the most important and timely topics in real-time communications today, and are taught by leading subject-matter experts.
A Full-conference registration entitles you to take one or both of these without extra charge. Alternatively, for those who wish to participate in the Tutorials, but are unable to attend the Main Conference, the tutorials may be purchased separately for a fee of $75. Description
Ready to add phone call and texting capabilities to your applications?
Don’t have an application yet, but certainly want to learn how to do something like this?
In this session, we’ll walk you through the process of setting up an application that will:
1 – answer a phone call, 2 – gather input from the caller, and 3 – respond with a text.
If you happen to have your own project ready for such a thing, bring it along. If you’re exploring or learning, we have code for you to use.
What you’ll need to bring: a laptop and a basic comfort level with setting up a local server.
What you’ll leave with: an API key and phone number to continue to build upon the basic application from class or to try your own.
WebRTC/ORTC – 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Instructor
Bernard Aboba Principal Architect, Microsoft
Description
This tutorial will cover the WebRTC 1.0 Candidate Recommendation which is now shipping in all browsers as well as related APIs such as Media Capture, Screen Sharing and Content-Hints. The history of the WebRTC APIs will also be discussed as well as next generation APIs under development.
